The Freedom Promise
Buy a Harley-Davidson® Sportster®
and get your purchase price back on trade
if you trade it in by August 30, 2020.
Customers that purchase and take delivery of an Eligible Initial Motorcycle at a participating Harley-Davidson dealership during the Sales Period are eligible to participate in the Freedom Promise program (“Program’). Under the Program, Customers that purchase an Eligible Initial Motorcycle during Initial Period and then trade-in an Eligible Initial Motorcycle for an Eligible Trade-Up Motorcycle before August 31, 2020 will receive a trade-in value equal to the original purchase price (including original equipment factory-installed options).
Original purchase price does not include taxes, title, registration, license fees, state fees, parts and accessories, dealer set-up/prep/freight charges, ancillary products (e.g., Extended Service Plans, GAP, wheel and tire coverage, etc…) and other dealer add-ons (“Purchase Price”). Customer must provide the motorcycle bill of sale as proof of the purchase price to the trade-in dealership.
Harley-Davidson will reimburse participating dealerships in accordance with the Credit Incentive (see Credit Incentive section below) for each qualified claim when the Eligible Initial Motorcycle is traded-in on a new, unregistered Eligible Trade-Up Motorcycle of greater value and not the same model. Dealer is responsible for balance of depreciation on trade-in motorcycle at time of trade.
Offer is good on Eligible Initial Motorcycles available and in stock at participating dealer locations during the Sales Period only. Purchase of Eligible Initial Motorcycle and Eligible Trade-Up Motorcycle must be made at the same participating dealership.
Offer valid at participating U.S. Harley-Davidson dealerships. Offer not valid in Hawaii.
Offer valid for the original registered owner of the Eligible Initial Motorcycle only (“Current Owner”) and is non-transferable except to the Current Owner's spouse or to the Current Owner's legally recognized domestic partner, provided such person lives in the same household and has the same permanent address as the Current Owner.
Offer is limited to one claim per eligible VIN.

Eligible Initial Motorcycle and Eligible Trade-up Motorcycle must be taken from dealer stock and are not available on future motorcycle orders, deliveries or deposits outside the Initial Purchase or Trade-Up Period.

Eligible customers must redeem the offer at the same dealership where the Eligible Initial Motorcycle purchase originated. Notwithstanding the above, Customers that move 100 or more miles from the dealership where the Eligible Initial Motorcycle was purchased may purchase their Eligible Trade-Up Motorcycle at a participating dealership in their new area.
Eligible customers must have the original bill of sale and title in the Current Owner’s name as valid proof of purchase of the Eligible Initial Motorcycle at time of trade-in to qualify for this offer.
